Panda and Baby Collage

Come learn how to do a portrait (10" X 14") of a Panda and her Baby using a no sew collage technique (pieces are raw edge and glued). You can choose to do the original black and white pandas or have fun with colors of your choice. This is a great way to use scraps! All levels are welcome!

Supplies:

Fabric scissors

Paper scissors

Sharpie

Straight Pins

Tweezers (optional to help pick up pieces)

Glue ( Aleene's Tacky Glue is recommended but can be any non-toxic water soluble fabric or craft glue)

Small Paint brush to help spread the glue

Foundation Fabric (muslin or any neutral colored fabric that. you can see a photocopied pattern through is fine) At least 12" X 16". 

Fabric:

Scraps are great and the more variety, the better. Prints add texture. Several shades or prints will make your portrait more interesting. We can share fabric in class. The sample in class is done in a variety of blacks, whites, light and medium greys. The background is blues and greens(bamboo). If you would like to have fun with color, bring a variety of lights and darks in any colors to substitue for the blacks and whites.
